I just bought my first can of plasti-dip! How do you prep the surfaces?

Just clean it really well. Don't sand or scuff it, that kinda defeats the purpose of removable paint. Spray multiple light coats.

Take a picture of them still folded down if you could too? I couldn't bolt mine back to the tub because I have the wires going through the side of the windshield frame.

Will do! I don't even know why I have the damn things... They were one of the only mods that were on my jeep when I bought it. Not even wired up. Not correctly anyway, and I have no clue how to do it.

Haha they were one of the mods I thought I wanted, in hind sight I never use them, and they have kept me from folding the windshield down this far, but I can't take them off and move them because of the holes in my window frame now, at least they look pretty good.

I couldn't get the block bolt to hold them in the regular orientation, but there was enough slack in the wiring to allow me to use one of the front facing holes to secure it on. They just hang to the side. Kinda worried about a rock flying off the tire and hitting them.

95% of the driving I do is on the highway and on backroads. It would be really useful for spotting dear and flashing people who don't know how to turn off their brights!

Rebuilt a 30 year old Warn 8274 winch with some good buddies and installed on my TJ.

Ooh okay, did you try to leave them on in their normal mounting place to fold it down? I will certainly be folding it down soon, thanks

yeah, this was the only way I could figure out how to get it to work, but it is a solid way to do it. I just used the large black bolt that locks the windshield down. Hope that makes sense.

Installed Spider Web Shade, but it was raining so I could not go out and play with the top down. Another day.

Anyway, love this thing. It installs very easily and will keep the sun off my head. It stays on with the top up, so is always ready to go. This is the Krawler version, which extends back a bit and covers the sound bar and a little more. This company provdes a great value.

Bye bye bikini top(s). They will be on CL very soon.

Tried to put the soft top and the doors back on tonight. In the dark. With only a little flashlight.

I didn't check where your located, but here in Oklahoma when it gets above about 100* the shade cage is not enough, so you may want to keep a bikini handy for at least this summer unless it doesn't get that hot.
