Low tech day today. Changed the light bulb in the engine compartment light. Replaced the lock on the center console. Finally came up with a fix for getting the lug nut lock off of the spare with out the key nut. Ruff day......

Nice job. I bought one of Tattons driveshafts too. Make sure you grease the "bell joint" using a needle grease gun. Mine dried out and I had to rebuild it way too soon, cost me about $75 or so in parts.

Warranty replaced my SS brake lines that started to leak. Easy to do but tough to get those crush washers to seal up easily.

took a little longer than I thought, just tedious with all the holes and drilling and nuts and bolts.. but not really difficult.

Took it up onto Mt. Baldy today for a day hike. First real test of the transmission since I got it last Aug. Worked great. Also got a nice pic with the forest ranger's TJ as well. Basically exactly what I want mine to look like eventually (mines on the left).

Took off my other door. That one was pretty easy (maybe because I knew what I was doing) and is now back on. Washed the Jeep and put a coat of nanowax (yes I'm too lazy to do a full on wax job).

What's wrong with the black denim? Just curious because I am about to buy a new soft top as well and don't want to get something that looks horrible...

Gotcha. Should I go with the black diamond instead? I want to keep the black. My TJ is black and I like the look of the black on black soft top.

Yes. You will see a rubber piece that fits around it. Also the grease zert for this joint is different. It is concave and has the small ball bearing in the bottom center. That's why you use a needle type grease gun adapter (sells for a couple bucks at the Autoparts store). The zert is in a tight space and for me I will probably have to disconnect the shaft at the transfer to drop it down and be able to rotate it enough to get it greased. Can't emphasize the importance of this! Mine dried out before I read about the joint and became very noisy! Drove me nuts trying to figure out the noise. It was a $150+ repair had I returned it to Tatton, but instead I bought the parts online and repaired it for about $75. Other than that, great shaft and SYE. :-)

You can also buy some top cleaner protector at a auto detail supply store. Really keeps mine looking like it came out of the box!

New LEDs

Installed Worklight LEDs in the engine bay and added interior lighting around the rear.

Multiple projects

Installed my new Smittybuilt front bumper and Rampage summer top. I like the look the summer top gives the TJ. Looks like a small truck in a way. I also lined the tub with herculiner. No More Carpet!!!

I finished my front and rear bumpers.... Installed flush mount LEDs and wired in my rear fog to my backup light and made a license plate holder that goes in the spare.... All for about 75bucks! Then found some mud! Lol

Drove it in with doors off and top down in 45 degree weather just so I could drive around once it was 75.
