Ok I know I know it's week but I owned it so I installed it for $30. Installed winch and eliminated milk jugs finally. I think it toughened it up for a beach cruiser

4500# winch?!?! That's it. I'd be scared to use that for anything that's even stuck in sand.

i am victorious.

some of you may remember me ranting about a week ago when my radio was stolen. so i came up with a theft-proof solution.

my new marine grade 400 Watt, 4 channel speaker amp came in the mail today. it took me about 5 hours to figure it all out, but after a lot of googling, some testing, a trip to the store, and a lot of cutting plastic with a coping saw, its all installed.

basically, what i did was mount the 400W amp in the dash behind where the radio used to be. (its in there DEEP and isnt coming out very easily) and then i mounted one of my old 4x6 speakers in the radio slot in front of the amp. then i made a black metal-mesh plate with speaker cloth behind it to fill the hole in the dash in front of the 4x6. so now its all clean and hidden and no longer screams "STEAL ME!"

the result: SWEET BABY JESUS. my jeep sounds like a freaking theater now. its ungodly. im so happy with everything. and all i have to do is plug in my phone.

no radio. no problem.

heres the amp mounted nice and tight

the good one of my old 4x6 dash speakers. its temporary till i come up with a better quality speaker(s) to put in its place. but it adds to the sound nicely.

aaaand the cover. it needs to be re-mounted a bit better, but for now it does the job. im thinking of putting a jeep logo in the middle. maybe...

I said "I know" I just had it already more for looks than anything.... Use it lightly and carefully if needed more just to toughen it up some

no more radio ever. i can listen to my local radio stations on the iheart radio app on my phone if i really wanted. itll just be all mp3s all the time. thats all i ever listen to anyway.

the way i looked at it was $120 for a half decent radio that i basically only use as a 50W speaker amp for my phone, or $57 for a 400W speaker amp. it was an easy descision. haha

Took it to the dealership to have the cat looked at again as it started rattling like crazy yesterday. Got an appointment Tuesday so a mechanic can walk up to it start it and say yep it's rattling. Then I'm sure they will have to order one to replace it but hey it's free so who can complain.

What line is it? I see it goes to the valve cover but where does the other end go?

Replaced rear pinion seal, switched out rc springs for BDS ones (3" front/2" rear). Also broke ear of rear driveshaft while replacing u-joints....guess its time for sye and cv driveshaft.

This weekend I replaced the deck in the jeep with an alpine with Bluetooth and auxiliary inputs. Replaced the pods with Polk audio 5.25 sports in rear. $99 got me for $35. Replaced fronts with Polk 460s. The have separate tweeter. Found p.o. Had replaced with pioneers and already had install brackets. Was crap install, one speaker hangin loose and not hooked up. Everything sounds good, now need subwoofer and amp for console.
