I installed 4 transom boat plugs in the tub of my TJ Sahara. Two in the front and two in the rear.

I spent the ride home soaking up water from my driver's seat with the seat of my pants. I put the top down at lunch when it was blue skies, no clouds and 81º, 45 minutes later while I was inside and unaware, the temperature had dropped 15º and it was raining buckets.

Ok.. Not today, but all in the last week. Installed Warn Zeon 10S, Monstalined my tub in black and spray painted my faded sport bar covers.

All turned out great!

Busy, busy week.

emptied out the bucket with my old tranny fluid today and found out why it seemed like the synchros for 3rd and 4rth had blown up.... it was because they did.

also found some big plastic coro-tubing and cleaned up the wires that have been bugging me.

Added a HF ATV rack for camping. Required drilling a new 5/8" hole for the hitch pin due to it not clearing a 33" spare, but for $43 I have no complaints.

That's not a stock bumpstop. That's been extended on the top. Oh and no TJ bumpstop looks that good unless its been replaced recently

yeah it seemed way out of place, im doing a bb until my funds allow a real lift. but why would the PO have this on? it would explain my lack of flex and shit ride right?

It would explain the lack of flex, and possibly the crap ride due to the axle not being able to move much when you hit bumps. 1 of 2 things caused the PO to install them. #1 they had a lift previously and uninstalled the lift but kept the BS on it or #2 they replaced the BS not knowing what they needed and got extended ones

Well...to start the day off i had to lend my TJ to my girlfriend since she spun a bearing in her car yesterday. So, she dropped me off at work at 9 this morning and then left.

She came back to get me at 2 oclock and had vacuumed the inside, cleaned the insides of the windows, wiped down the dash, and hand washed the entire outside.

So, i decided to build on that a little tonight and undercoated the frame and skids, repainted the rock sliders, repainted the mirrors, repainted the fenders (tubes), and wiped it down with quick detail to get ready to clay it, buff it, and wax it in the next couple days.

Will probably remove and respray the front and rear bumpers as well but yeah...not a bad day!

Was speechless that she hand washed it and cleaned the inside...was the first time ive had a girlfriend do that for me and it was the first time she actually took time to wash a vehicle.

Mine are pretty long but not as long as yours. That seems super close to the axle personally.

Could be your springs are sagging. It's possible

some of you may remember me ranting about a week ago when my radio was stolen. so i came up with a theft-proof solution.

my new marine grade 400 Watt, 4 channel speaker amp came in the mail today. it took me about 5 hours to figure it all out, but after a lot of googling, some testing, a trip to the store, and a lot of cutting plastic with a coping saw, its all installed.

basically, what i did was mount the 400W amp in the dash behind where the radio used to be. (its in there DEEP and isnt coming out very easily) and then i mounted one of my old 4x6 speakers in the radio slot in front of the amp. then i made a black metal-mesh plate with speaker cloth behind it to fill the hole in the dash in front of the 4x6. so now its all clean and hidden and no longer screams "STEAL ME!"

the result: SWEET BABY JESUS. my jeep sounds like a freaking theater now. its ungodly. im so happy with everything. and all i have to do is plug in my phone.

no radio. no problem.

heres the amp mounted nice and tight

the good one of my old 4x6 dash speakers. its temporary till i come up with a better quality speaker(s) to put in its place. but it adds to the sound nicely.

aaaand the cover. it needs to be re-mounted a bit better, but for now it does the job. im thinking of putting a jeep logo in the middle. maybe...
UNBELIVABLE!! I had the EXACT same idea this past weekend! I even found that same 4ch Pyle amp on Amazon...ha! Only difference is I'm gonna put my mini jack cable input through the metal plate covering the hole where the head unit was. And maybe some kind of way to hold my iPhone. Other than that, same setup...who needs a stereo, anymore!?!? Great mod!

Is that a piece of wood block on the bottom? The top looks normal. Same that mine had but the bottom seems odd
