I walk inside and ask what the problem was and one of the assistants told me that a lug nut of mine was rounded off.. I told her, no ma'am, i had lost that lug nut and replaced it with a size smaller. As soon as I finished speaking, this rude woman decided to yell out "No, ya lug nut is rounded off."

So, I said thanks, went home, put the STOCK tire iron on the replaced lug nut which was NOT rounded off, and swapped it onto the back wheel and put a new lug nut from the back wheel onto the front. Problem solved right? I wish.

I brought it back to Walmart and asked them if they could patch it now. I got a no. The reason? That ass hole "tech" already declined the job because of the "rounded off" nut and the other guy working in the shop wouldn't go behind her back and do the job after she declined it. Remember, this is AFTER I already swapped the lug nut so there was absolutely nothing wrong with the tire. I asked why she couldn't go back out there and look at the tire and see that I put a new lug in there, and he gave me the same answer as above.

So what did I have to do to get the tire patched? I had to take the damn thing off myself in the parking lot. And roll it up there. Shit, I thought I was getting a deal for a $10 patch and plug. Never again.
I'd have gone elsewhere and paid more on general principal!

Two words of advice, "Discount Tire".

Welcome to Walmart where customer service is king! Its normally like a free for all in the tire/auto depts. Theyre like the dept that normal management doesnt pay any attention to....

This is why I don't shop at Walmart. I am sorry that you had to go through all of that though. I could go on a rant here but am restraining myself.

This was my first time trying to get my tire patched at Walmart. I usually bring it to my local mechanic, but he usually charges $20 I think and I thought I could save a few bucks. It was a wild goose chase with the "let me call my manager" "go talk to the head mechanic" "go talk to her" not once did I get to talk to the lady that told the head mechanic that my lug nut was rounded.

When you are due for a new set of tires, if you have one around, deal with Discount Tire, don't cost anything for tire repair (when you buy tires from them). I drive about 25 to 30 miles to the closest one from me, it's worth it. The longest I have ever had to wait was an hour and that was getting new tires installed.

Actually, discount tire will repair a tire for free no matter what. I had a problem with a tire about a month ago and took my Jeep to Discount Tire. Turns out I needed a new valve stem, they swapped it out for free. Didn't buy my tires there, still have the same tires that were on it when I bought it last Feb.

It is customer service like this that I will go to them whenever I need tires. I could get them a little cheaper a Costco maybe, but when they are that good to customers I don't mind paying a little more if I have to.

That's good. Good thing about them is, they don't plug tires, they patch it.
Get quotes from several places, then go to Discount Tire, they will match or beat the other peoples prices.

Just picked up a kenwood 8" shallow subwoofer. My TJ did not come with a sub in the console. Thinking of 3 places I want to install it. In the console, in the sound bar or inside the bottom of the rear seat.....

The WalMart experience you had was pretty typical. I would not go there, do not shop at WalMart for anything, but especially anything automotive. Hope the rest of your day is better.

I installed a couple garden shed clamps by my drivers seat for my flashlight. Nice and out of the way but extremely accesable. And holds strong.

Flares are now back to gray. Looks nice for a while though. Lasts about a month or so.

I picked them up from home hardware for 12 bucks. they hold a maximum of 1 1/2" diameter (a Maglite is 1 1/2" diameter). very quick to put the light in but they hold very strong for a little bit of plastic and rubber

I'm also seeing if I did something wrong when I tried to bed line my fender flair or if its just that the duplicolor bed armor isn't that good. any thoughts?

Seriously, try Penetrol from the paint department of Home Depot, etc.. Just apply it with a cloth or sponge.
Cheap and works for MONTHS.
(Don't get it on the paint, it leaves a coating on that surface too)
I do all the exterior black/grey plastic on my jeep and trucks once a year.

Took the doors off and let the top down. Then spent a few hours driving in the backwoods. She's dirty now.

I really like those fenders, I would like to do that to my Jeep eventually.

After working 8 hours today I put the top down (left the doors and windows at home this morning) and me and my son headed over to the Summit Racing Equipment showroom (missed out on Super Summit/Truckfest because I had to work) and picked up a pair of U-joints for the front axle on the Jeep. Spent some money I didn't need to spend on a new "toy" for the garage as well.
