Pulled out a perfectly good NV3550 in my wife's jeep to do an auto swap, oh well she's good to me so I'm building this the way she wants!

Yesterday: Put on a set of General Grabbers AT2's. Even forked out for a fitth, so the spare matches. Sweet!

Today: Did the steering stop washer trick to stop rubbing at full right lock. Worked awesome and took 4 min.

Fixed broken AC knob.

Took wife to movies with top down (Not Hers!), then cruzed around for a bit. Put her back in garage.

Good Weekend!

When we bought the Wrangler a few years back she was, for some reason, missing the driving lights. Today I started to rectify that issue.

Since we have the brush guard in place with the tow hooks I had to figure out a new place for the lights that would still allow me to connect the wiring so, next to the rubber bumpers was what I came up with that did all that and allowed me to access the lock nuts on the back.

First, a pilot hole and then the 1/4" bit so I could then finish off the mounting holes with the Unibit.

Next was the hard part, push the bolt through and tighten it down. Okay, that was pretty easy. Now to aim them in what is probably the right direction.

With the lights now mounted, tomorrow I will get in there and wire it all up and then we should be good to go!

Installed the Brown Dog super engine brackets and poly motor mounts last night. Driver side was a snap since I'd already had to replace bolts on it twice and knew exactly how to piece it all together.

Passenger side was a bit tougher but they are on there.

That's usin the ole hat rack! Only thing, those lights might need regular replacement, depending on your wheeling habits. Rocks love glass and plastic.

Priced a new interior shift boot. Used was $20 but new at dealership was $25. Priced speedo gear. Eight years ago the light blue one for my four banger (4.56 @ 31x10.5) was $8.00. The green 31 tooth one (3.73 @ 33x12.5) today is about TEN TIMES THAT. Talk about financial rape!

0_o

I will be buying that boot today, but the gear will have to wait until next payday...

You can get speedo gears for like $30 so I'd suggest shopping around

Yesterday: took skid plate off to see if a broken transmission mount was the source of my pop/klunk at start up and shut down, and vibration at 1900 rpms. The mount was perfectly intact. No cracks or anything.

Did find some rust though. I suggest everyone to take their skid plate off and check for rust. My jeep had a good amount and I'm located in Louisiana. I'd hate to see someone's from up north.

I can do that! I'll have to get the measurements for the pieces and make sure I have some more pics...my wife did all the sewing...I used marine-grade vinyl, just to make sure it would be waterproof and the colored thread is just for accent - it doesn't actually hold any seams or anything. Good project!

Scan Gauge

It arrived Today!

I've had great fun playing with this today and if nothing else I've became MPG orientated for half a day. The Intake air temp is so high because it was off for a while before taking this pic but boy what an insight when it is running.

Does anyone know like how to have an American flag fly off the back of the jeep? I can't really think of any way to do it! Please share photos if y'all have a flag off the back. Much appreciated

Installed 1 3/4 leveling kit to the front due to being 2 1/2" lower in the front after installing 8.8 in rear.

I saw one on here a couple days ago that looked like it was mounted to the hitch somehow. Can't find it now. I will keep looking and try to post link.

Yesterday with case of beer in hand upgraded sound in my jeep. Switched soundbar to 6.5" infinity kappa and 4x6 kappa in dash also wired up my alpine 4ch amp as well as added my Sirius radio. I am disappointed with reception of radio. On my yukon previously it never cut out on jeep it cuts out frequently I installed it on windshield frame on driver side as high as could go I see alot of people putting on roll bar under soft top any suggestions or input? May move mine later this week

I just got some short poles at walmart, and zipped tied them to the rollbars.

Looks real good! Are those aluminum wheels? What kind of prep and paint? I'm gonna do that soon.
