Go to walmart and get the ac gas. Buy the one w the hose. Instructions are on the can. Easy fix for less than $20. That's the first step. If that don't work, you prob got other issues.

Don't over pressurize your system when you fill it yourself, you run the risk of blowing seals and/or making any leaks bigger. If the air gets cold at first, then gets warm after some time, you probably have a leak.

re-adjusted the equalizer and the gains on all my amps and stereo. got the obnoxious boomy out by turning down the bass on the "head unit" (my phone) and turning up the subwoofer amp. now its nice and punchy, and you can hear everything. id like to say its a nearly 90% balanced sound.

picking up my reman tranny tomorrow and gonna install that bitch and go for a long, loud, smooth ride.

That dye really works? Did the heat gun a week ago. Considering a Walmart trip right now.. How long does the color last?

i used a dawn dishsoap to wash them, then rubbing alcohol let it evap, then liberally applied let it sit 5 minutes wiped it down (got some on the paint and it wiped right off, i was worried )

dunno about longevity, the claim i read on VW forums was a few months at a time.

97 TJ- taking off 3" BL

I have a 97TJ with a newly installed 2.5"rcx under a 3" BL. I am running 33x12.50 tires. I was a little shocked when I picked the jeep up today. The tires look a little dwarfed. What do y'all think? Thinking of taking BL off and putting on 1or2" BL.

Can't see your pic but getting rid of that 3" bl is a good idea regardless. Replace it with a 1 or 1.25". Might as well do a 1" mml while your at it. It will look and perform much better.

I would definitely ditch the 3 inch body lift.

Thanks, here is a pic. It actually rides really well, I just feel like the back tires look really small.

Awful small and blurry, too.
I'm just messing with you. Yeah, there seems to be a lot of space above the rear tires.

So I cleaned my brakes out (REEALLY DIRTY and dusty), helped get rid of the slight squeak when driving around 20-30 mph (contact points needed a slight film of grease).
Rattle-canned my flares which turned out REALLY good (pics to follow). I used a $7 can of Universal Flat Black from O'Reilly's.
Checked my steering bushings, greased some of them today (greatly needed); waiting to have a place to remove tires and hit those tie-rods end bushings.
Waiting for the workspace to replace a sway bar link and the time (maybe tomorrow) to fix a broken hard-top defroster tab.
WHEW!

Over the past week or so I've done a few small projects...
After replacing my seats a couple of weeks ago I noticed they creaked and squeaked whenever I turned, took off from a stop or hit the brakes. I noticed the little bushings were missing on the new seat brackets.

I pulled them off my old seats and put them on the new, problem solved...

I put a delay wiper switch on, no more flipping wipers on and off!

This was sunday, but: repainted my fenders, sliders, and bumpers. Then undercoated the frame and skids. And for those of you with a body lift, it hink it adds a nice little touch if you black out the little "lip" by the gas tank on the body

The bottom body lip by the gas tank:
