Hmm that's odd. The one under my drivers side didn't have a bulb in it but there should still be the wires. Mine were black and red. Do you see any of those?

OK well I found a yellow and pink wire all the way up between the passenger airbag and the defrost vent. I was wondering what it was I checked to make sure my airbag was hooked up. I am wondering WTF the PO did to this Jeep. On a similar note does anyone know where I could download a copy of the entire wiring harness for my own reference? maybe a PDF?
It would be something handy for us MOD'ers.

That's not the brute though! That's a cj8 tub attached behind the rear seat. The cab and the bed aren't separated like the brute. That guy did his for less than 3k.

Over the last few weeks I did a full revamp of the jeep... It went from a sagging 4" skyjacker lift, a transfer case drop and a open dana 35 to a RE 4.5" long arm, sye/ new rear drive shaft, detroit locked dana 44, and a Currie steering set up... I can't wait to break in the new gears so I can take her wheeling

Thanks a lot, man...umm she's right at about 5" lift between suspension and body. Technically I'm running a zone 3" suspension but after it settled I had 3.75" of lift and then threw a 1.25" body lift on there for my upcoming tummy tuck...paired that with some tube fenders and some flat rear flares and voila!

Thanks again!

Thanks Bardo. Texas is home for me; grew up in Midland. I just retired from the Navy, and I couldn't get out of California fast enough! Great wheeling and camping there, but that's not enough to keep me away from my home.

DROVE IT TO WORK!!!!

its alive! And driving better than ever! The gearbox is really tight for now, but feels great. itll break in soon i hope.

also, i installed my speaker amp after the old trans died, and hadnt started the engine since before that...so upon starting it for the first time since the new amp, i discovered a TERRRIBLE engine noise coming through the amp/speakers. its a high pitch noise that revs up and down with the engine rpms.
I think i need larger diameter power wires for the amp, and a shorter ground, and also i remember a ground strap floating behind the dash that i didnt recconnect to anything... ill see about that. i bet i can get the sound out soon. (and i hope i do, because its earsplitting.)

im just happy to be driving my baby again! cant wait to hit up Uwharrie this weekend!

Goodluck, engine nose can suck to get rid of i had one car that wouldn't go away until i bought a ground loop isolator (some people claim they don't work, but it sure fixed my problem)

The engine noise is called alternator whine. Without going into much detail and boring explanations, you've got a bad ground (most likely) to your amp.
