Thanks it's looking like fairly decent weather I'm starting to regret not taking the jeep and driving the commander

Put the top down, took the doors off, and drove almost a full tank of gas all around town today.. It's my birthday so I decided to take the pup and go cruise.

Awesome tires man. What are they. I want some tires that allow you to drive on the ceiling. Lol (sorry man could not resist)

dude plastidipping things is the easiest way and cheapest way to fix a paint problem/ rust/ just newer look.
I plastidipped my Hi-Lift Jack black and white and it took only a couple of hours to do it. most time was on dry time between coats. $7 a can, cant beat that!!!!!

It's been kind of a weird couple of months. My wife ditched me with the kids on fathers day (she had a legit reason, I just like saying it that way). Then, due to work, I was unable to go on vacation with them this week. So the wife and kids are gone. So today I grabbed my copilot and away we went. I've had him in the jeep without the top and he seemed to enjoy it.

We tried doors off today... He was unhappy at first but settled in after a few minutes...

I need to find a better way to secure him to the car. He's not really interested in looking out the window/door. But I'd really like to find a way to make sure he can't go anywhere.

Here is my co-pilot 'Lily'. She loves to ride no matter if top is all the way up or totally topless. I just have a standard leash thrown over the rollbar and pulled back thru the handel. She has no problems except if I leave her at home.

I did just the black part. The only thing that sucked was trying to tape straight lines

I have always just used a leash to the passenger side dash o-sh!t handle, but I am still slightly worried about it since she could jump part of the way out. This is something I have been thinking of getting to actually solve the issue.

Thanks everyone for the advice. He's not really a 'window' dog... even in my old XJ he would just curl up in the seat.

I tied his leash to the seat belt buckle then buckled the belt so it couldn't slip off. He had enough to circle around the seat which meant he could possibly slip out and hang by his harness. Luckily he's a big chicken and tries to be as close to me as possible. If I keep a hand on him he's pretty happy. Although that's fun to do in a manual.

Yesterday, painted the hardtop. Went from spice to black. Much better now.

Today, Herculined the rest of the tub, changed diff fluid, oil and tranny as well. Also yanked all of the dash out and painted it.

Well went to town and got 2 more cans of paint. Painted the rest of the parts that require blue (except the half doors). Even though I got the exact same paint, I swear it is a different color. It looks darker than what the other parts looked like. I took the new painted parts and the old and put them together they are really close. The first ones look darker today then they did 2 days ago.

Oh I also started a new tread Show us your 4 legged co-pilot(s)

I put on a set of window flairs today. After I left her with the windows cracked over night, she got soaked in a rain storm and flooded the floor boards. Gotta keep those windows rolled down a few inches in this Texas heat.

Nice to meet you all by the way.

I have those same mirrors and the rubber surround annoys the st!t out of me with its whistling. I just pulled them off and now they still whistle, but not as loud. Other than that I like them for being door less not so much when the doors are on.
