Took the jeep for a ride seems much quieter with the new motor mounts.

Do you have any more pictures from further away? Are you happy with the relocation? I need new mirrors anyway... so I'd like to kill 2 birds with one stone... Thanks!

Heard a knocking noise from under the rear of my Jeep and found her handling had gone to crap today. Got underneath and found the rear track rod broken off at the diff. Guess I will need to get some welding done tomorrow! Thank goodness it didn't happen out 4 wheeling.

Got my CB installed. Put a disconnect in line so I can pull it if I need to. The mount should come tomorrow so I can finish up. Taking it to a local shop to get the SWR dialed in tomorrow as well.

Also, ordered a pair of IPF 968 fog/driving lights to replace the stock fogs. I'm planning on wiring them into the stock fog lines so that I can use the pull switch on the column for them. Anybody done that? Any reason I shouldn't?

Considering passing the TJ on to my son who will turning 16 tomorrow. I'm apprehensive about it, I'm the original owner and over 200K miles without any major drama. I guess if he wrecks it so long as its not totaled it would give me an excuse to put Poison Spyder XC defenders on it.

Lost my Military ID out of my shirt pocket while on the way to take my son to the clinic for lab work. Fortunately, I was able to turn around & find it. Got the jeep back on the road & was almost hit head on because on coming driver had "full sun glare" & could not see me = Extremely Hard Stop (Special thank you to Mr. Blane for my Black Magic Brakes). Now I'm dealing with "interior beeping" (no dash idiot lights) that beeps for like a minute, stops, repeats. Found all kinds of things on Wrangler Forum after I finally made it to work from low brake fluid to turn signal on for more than a mile...nothing found seems to apply.

You know you drive a TJ when you have the parts for the mod, the right tools for the job, a BFH & still need a Sawzall to get the job done!

The under hood fuse will blow. I suspect its a small fuse because the wires that are in steering column are too small to handle anything else.

Don't ask how it know.

Took the top off last night, went out this morning to go to work and got a butt full of morning dew on the back of my pants and shirt. said a few bad words, got changed, some plastic bags, and headed to work. I'm sure the sun and heat here will dry everything while it sits in the parking lot. Can't wait to head home... topless and doorless.

One of my favorite activites...

However, while I was crawling around under her (mostly for fun, this was my first oil change on her... dunno how old the previous oil was, but it came out cleaner than I expected) I noticed this on the drivers side:

What exactly did I break? (Sorry for the low quality)

The struggle thru the dew and cold morning is worth that open air ride home later.... Woo whoooo!

That looks like the sway bar link to me. I'm using my phone so the ppic is really small/hard to see.

Sway bar link. I'm replacing mine soon. Supposedly a pretty easy swap. Don't even need a jack.

$360 seems a bit steep when i can get a new link from auto zone for $25.

Unfortunately, it will be a while before I can do any fun upgrades to it... I also get the impression that on my 31x10.5s there's not much point in lifting it.

But your wrong! Flex with small tires is amazing plus the tuck ability makes people jealous.

That's awesome. If I could sell off a kid or two I could probably afford to do stuff like that

A Jeep is the best gift a father can give a 16 year old son, actually any age really. My son is 15 and I plan on doing the same thing next year. Family Jeeps are priceless. Also gives Dad a really good reason to get a new one!

Took my dads jeep to Benny's (car wash place). It finished taking off the back right tail light housing.

Some bastard no good jack ass hit it, and cracked it while parked in the parking garage at school two weeks ago.
