When my Rubicon was stock, I got 14 to 16mpg, after 4" lift and 33's, I get 12 to 14 if I'm lucky (closer to 12 most of the time)

Just put a set of Yukon chromoly shafts in my front d30...picked the shafts up new for 498 shipped (from their distribution center).

Really? My 05 LJ Rubicon gets 15+mpg with a 3.5" lift on 33s. When I ran steel rims it was down in the 14s, but since I've gone to alloys I'm getting 14 in town, and 15+ on the highway.

You should have a 15 gallon tank, and at 13mpg you can only travel 195 miles....that's pretty low. Definitely time for a full tune up, and I would change all the drivetrain fluids as well.

Hope that improves for ya!

Nice, it was a perfect fit? No hacking them down or anything?

Yeah, they had a full front shaft kit for it...i cant remember the part number. The guy that is doing my work for me today (i pick it up in about an hour and a half) got a discount through them as well so with shipping the front shafts were 498.

I dropped my jeep off today around 7 and he started the work at 730 and was done with everything, including the test drive to make sure it works, at 1230 today.

Front and rear regear to 4.88
Iron Rock steering system install
Front chomoly shafts
And a rear 8.8

It's all the same, don't matter if it's complete tune up or not. I get around 225 miles out a tank of gas. It's improved a lot, because my truck I use as my daily driver gets 21mpg and it's cheaper to replace those tires than the Jeep. The Jeep will probably drop in mpg's later this year when I move up to 35's.

Damn, that looks pretty.

Also, does it actually fit under your garage door? What's the clearance?

Thanks, she squeezes in with a little more than a inch to spare. Garage door is 7', inside the garage its 8.5-9 I think. Lifts I've done in the past sink about 1" after a few months, then I'll throw on a 2in body lift, I like a tight fit.

Impressive, I'd be worried about hitting my garage door, it never seems to hit the same upper position twice. How high a lift did you end up with?

Wired the hilites and spliced into the floor accent lights with a switch. Organized all my tools and put them away. Now gonna leave it n the garage for another week because we're going to Emerald Isle, NC tomorrow for another week at the beach. Already missing riding with the top down. Maybe my wife will let me stick my head out of the sunroof of her car.
Gonna add those LED strip lights that you get at Walmart when we get back.
