Here you go SpringRubi, I went with the Uniden 520 because I want to have a PA speaker in case you need to get someones attention. I made a nice mount for above the mirror but then decided against running wires around the window frame plus this little guy doesn't take up much room. And from all I read is a great little radio for our needs.

For reference, I just installed the same cb on mine but did it differently. Rugged Ridge cb mount on the dash and 3' firestick in the hood.

Looks good, those trunks aren't cheap and you made one for free.

A question not related to the CB. What is that black thing on top of the front portion of the console? I don't recall ever seeing that before. Thanks.

That is the passenger side airbag ce activation switch. Not all TJs have one installed. I have one (not installed) if you want one let me know.

Oh man...this thread is full of eye candy and great ideas. Really like how you replaced the cig tray with the speaker. Looks perfect there.

As for what I did today, I gave the ol' TJ a nice soapy scrubbin'....with the doors off.

I have to ask. Is that a custom made bezel or did you purchase that from somewhere. I notice it is a high gloss where mine is a mate finish. can you take a pic without the bezel? BTW I also like the 'plan B' switch. What does it control?
