I wouldn't think very long. It's held in by two bolts, then un clip the wires. If I had to do it, it would take me half an hour max.. But that's because I've taken it off twice for RMS/oil pan job.

Done plasti dipping. I lost one of the little studs for the spare tire. That was aggravating.

plasti dip!

Today -

Plasti-dipped all my door hinges and the hood hinges, who knows what will come next! (most likely wheels)

This stuff is miracle spray, really easy and took me about an hour and a half-two hours to do all the prep work taping spraying and drying. Anyone can do it and you can most likely find pasti dip at your local home depot or lowes, I tried my lowes and they didnt have it went 5 min down the road and got some from home depot

ps. all i could find was notebook paper haha

It was my first time doing a starter but only took an hour including driving to the parts store. Hardest thing was actually figuring out which bolt on the rear side was for the starter. It was funny when the parts store was testing the old starter, the guy didnt ground it well and it was sparking like a firework haha

heres the steering system i put in:

IRON ROCK OFF ROAD: Heavy Duty Over the Knuckle Steering TJ/ZJ/XJ

as in 8.8 swap?

The guy that did all the stuff for me yesterday had one already prepped and ready to install...

Definitely happy with how it turned out. Steering is awesome, front shafts are perfect, 4.88's are amazing, and the new rear is a beast. Only thing i need to do now is put in a SYE since the new rear axle raised it up another inch and i'm getting some vibes around 2k rpm in 2nd and third...

The sye goes in in about 2-3 weeks (tomwoods cv shaft as well)

and umm...going to put in some 3/4" or 1" spacers in front to level it out
Nice sorry for the late reply trying to figure some stud out lol so I. Guessing you have a manual with 4.88s as I have a auto and thinking 4.10 or 4.56s not sure yet I'm honestly reconsidering the 318 swap but I already have the car so idk just thinking about it. And that's what I'm wanting to do is a sye kit. I just need the money lol

So today, just really looked everything over. I'm considering plasti-dipping the wheels before the semester starts, trying to find the time.

I also wanna get in some HIDs for the 3 hour drive to school as well as replace lights on the interior. I hate not having money.

Bright side, picking up a hard top this week for a hundred bucks, hopefully all goes well with that on Tuesday. Until then, she waits.

Installed my push button starter. Even disabled the steering wheel lock so 100% no key needed. Also installed a kill switch as well.

Went to see my TJ at the shop. Having a Atlas II, 4.11 gears (removing 4.88's), Rokmen High Clearance Belly Pan & Engine/Transmission Skid Plate installed. I'll I saw was my TJ being used as a shelf.. I' haven't seen that many jeeps in his shop before. My turn will come and it will be done right. I did see a Grand Cherokee SRT all wheel drive waiting for a transmission and a supercharger. Another was a JK with a 2013 LS1 getting ready to run. His specialty is Hemi Swaps.

Hugged it! First time I'd seen it in a week. Been in vacation at Emerald Isle, NC. That's the only good thing about coming home from vacation.

Just ordered my warn 8000 winch!! Been needing one for a long while. My 15' tow strap has done it's job and rented cable pullers that I thought would snap my head off are put in the past. Skipped out on the "recommended" smittybilt winch from 4 wheel parts and got a real American made winch.

The things you can do with a bread knife

Have been wanting to fix up my lil yellow Jeep for a while now.
Since the windshield is cracked and the frame is the wrong color, that was a good starting point.
Dug out my trusty bread knife and went to town, didn't even add another crack to the glass.
Took about 30-40 mins of elbow grease to get that critter cut out

On to welding some small holes in the frame shut, add bondo and then give er some pretty yeller paint
Good thing windshields are cheap, both my Jeep wanted new glasses

replaced my tranny mount because we sheared off 2 of the bolts on the old one.

also adjusted the transfer case shifter cable to try and get it shifting through the ranges right. still wont shift right at all. its a mess. and now its leaking fluid all over the place. things are not looking good. im about to have to tear apart the transfer case and see whats wrong... or just get a new one... my luck is still going to shit with this jeep right now. if the engine goes, im selling this turd.

Knocked out rusted out nutserts in anticipation of replacing, busted rust off the frame, washed the under carriage, removed the spare tire carrier and busted rust off of it
