Removed my passenger fender to repaint it.

Sanded the old flaking paint off

Primed it

Painted it and cleared it

Reinstalled for polishing

Finished up, doesn't look half bad

Looks good.
Reminds me that I need to hurry up and finish sanding and painting my tube fenders so I can install them.

That's the one thing I don't think I'll use on the overhead, I'll most likely put it on my tailgate gear cover

Made my own dome light on/off switch so when I take doors off I don't need to pull #4. I just hit the switch. Quadratec wants $29.99. I made my own for less than 10 bucks. Dash mounted looks like it was factory installed.

I took them off, they were in pretty bad shape, sanded them down with 320 grit paper gave them a good cleaning with dupli-color wax and grease remover, used 2 coats of clear adhesion promoter primer, and finished them off with 3 coats of mar-hyde black satin automotive trim coating.

But you add your time and bandaids its more. And if you continue to take them on and off its not worth it IMHO

It only took about 30 minutes to get them all off a couple hours sanding and painting, 30 mins to reinstall, no cuts, busted knuckles. And I would rather do all my own work than pay someone else to do it for me. Total material cost was about 50$

Installed a Cobra75 cb radio, antenna mount, and CAI. A good day for the ol' TJ. External speaker for the cb in place of the ash tray tomorrow if I can find one.

Added an air horn to alert/scare the crap out of the idiots on the highway that decide to cut me off to get to their exit. The factory horn sounded like a kiddy horn. Now it doesn't.
New mirror relocation brackets with light mounts from Hyline Offroad on the agenda tomorrow. Slowly coming together.

Pulled the tow hitch, tied the bumper into the frame from the sides, picked up an axle seal and some power steering fluid. Replacing steering lines tomorrow, axle seal when I get my tube end seals. Oh, ordered the lone star shift boot too!

I bought my first Wrangler the other day from a friend who ordered it new from the factory. Years later he thought he broke the tranny and it sat for two years before he offered it to me for $2,500.00. I had it towed home and found it was the ring and pinion instead. I bought a locker and new gears, etc and had the shop install them. She drives very nice now.... I'm looking forward to some more mods and a little wheeling....

Nice. You don't see white hard tops very often.

Hey you try to go to a fairly flat dirt area and but it in low and she can start with real slow almost no stalling. And very little gas. As she gets better she can shift and speed still slow. When gets confidence the go back to 2x. I did this with the kids and it seem to help them get a grasp of the using both feet and shifting.
