Picked her up from the airport, took her top off and had a nice drive home.

Removed old steering damper and a second one that was mounted below it that was toasted.

Replaced them with a single Monroe Magnum SC2928 ($29.99) and it works GREAT! Also test drove my rebuilt cooling system. Two hours at 70+ mph in 97º temp (85% humidity) it stayed pegged at the magic 210º mark.

FINALLY!

And I have the four NTK oxygen sensors ordered from rockauto.com - again - FINALLY!

Right On..!
We spent a lot of time cruising this summer, some local, some up into Wisconsin, It's a blast for us to stop at all the mom and pop bars and grab a grilled nasty (awesome) burger once in a while...
The drives are always "GPS OFF" on the way out, so it makes getting lost part of the fun..!

This was a weekend project. The orange Jeep came with a charcoal top and fenders. Got a black replacement top. Cut my fenders to get rid of the stock look, and painted those black. Also mounted my hi-lift jack in the back, and strapped a shovel and axe to the driver side rear pillar.

ok lets see, what did i do today to my jeep, well i broke her in with the rain haha
went on a trip to visit my sister and nephew and it was nice as heck out all day and drove about an hour out to her house. we were leaving the outlets and see a huge storm coming in from nowhere was crazy. rushed home and jumped in the jeep and started to race the incoming clouds but they ended up catching me and winning. I started the ride with no top on bc i thought i could out run the storm but nope. had to stop at a underpass and put the top on but didnt have my doors nor the windows, was a very wet and long ride home hahaha

I got this one. Like $45 on Amazon. Sounds great so far...I don't have a sub or anything, and speakers are pretty old, but plenty loud for top down, 55 highway cruising.

I got my first "mod", a used factory tow hitch from Taber02. He helped me instal it in the parking lot and by help I mean watch his dog while he did all the work. Great guy, great forum, looking forward to meeting more of you guys and building up the Jeep.

I pulled my jugs off and had to grind off my bolts because the inserts slipped and spin

Today was a really nice day. So I took the doors off, shined her up ..... My daughter walked out, took my keys and I didn't see her again for a couple of hours . Later that evening after some good wheel time, I put on my new "jeeper keepers" ( anti door theft device). Great day.

I removed and plasti-dipped my fender flares. Wish I had painted them instead. They do look great, but this stuff will scratch off easier than paint will. Also, the dirt really seems to stick to it too. Also, whoever decided to use the riv nuts on the fender flares can go die in a fire.

I am thinking about trying that flex seal rubber spray. If those are the nuts i ran into with the jugs I want in those things suck.

I am with you, I will find the creator of the riv nuts and torx bolts, and burn them both at the stake!

I dipped my hood! My forst attempt didn't work too well, it was too hot outside the dip dried almost instantly. So simple solution, I pulled the hood off, and lugged it up to my second story apartment! I taped it off and sprayed around the edges, a nice and thick coat, about four inches wide. After I was done with that, I pulled the tape immediately. Then proceded to spray the rest of the hood using the first pass as a buffer to prevent overspray. I sprayed the rest of it and waited for it to dry and then reinstalled my hood.

Painted the underside and frame of my jeep today. It's a 05 TJL with 60k on it. It came from Las Vegas and has never seen a St. Louis winter. Damn thing has not a stitch of rust anywhere on it. Seeing as I want this thing to last forever. I used rustolium pro grade spray bomb. Should help keep it from rusting. It was stupid clean underneath already .

Installed a dead pedal on the passenger side for the wife. Test fit the tow bar for an upcoming trip. Re-installed the duster. Zip tied the front license plate to the front bumper because the state, in its infinite wisdom, decided to re-institute front lisc plate laws.

Well, they dont take lightly to any part of the plate being covered up in Texas. Otherwise, that would have been an option.

They told me in Ohio that my plate couldn't be covered "in any way at all" when I said what about the bolt heads? They were slightly confused.
