Watched it sit in the driveway, thought I just bent the steering in my dukes of hazzard accident. While swapping in complete ZJ steering I messed up the threads on the stock steering stabilizer(which probably needs replaced with 65,000 miles). And I noticed the drivers side lower control arm bracket was bent and twisted and I can tell by looking at the springs that my axle is sitting at an angle under the jeep. Gah. I'm gonna go broke

Today? Heck, this month alone I have put new 33'' tires on, replaced the clutch, replaced spark plugs, changed the oil, new tension pulley, new serpentine belt, new grab handles on the interior, fixed the vent door arm for the defrost, replaced the starter, am ordering a new speedo gear thanks to a wonderful speeding ticket...... Yea, my TJ spends my money quicker than my girl.

couple things. Did you custom fab all that suspension yourself? And what are you using to wrap it? And how the hell do you plan on getting that thing out of the garage?

I did all the suspension myself. I am using the new 3M 1080 Scotchprint vinyl in Matte Silver. I drive the Jeep in and out under it's own power. Fits in the garage just fine.

resistor and de-zombied

So today I replaced the old heater resistor and can now use all the settings on the heater instead of just full blast. I also used a heat gun to remove the majority of stickers the PO had put on the jeep. No more ZOMBIE RESPONSE VEHICLE on both sides of the hood!!! It was cool when I got it because it was almost Halloween but I'm glad they are gone now.

Sounds so familiar. I too beat the piss outa my ole girl only at the beach in the sand. My son was stuck with his truck hooked to my enclosed trailer. Got out the 3" tuggem strap and hooked it to his 95 Chevy 4x4. Backed up to get some slack in the strap, put her in 4 low and clicked on both lockers and then took off. The old girl was running some serious rpms, but she pulled the load on down the road... She didn't let me down. Best thing is she did the task with full air in the tires.

Got her a little dirty then cleaned her up and repainted the door handles. Couldn't be happier with how they came out.

Over this weekend my buddy put on my new Poison Spyder hood luvre and new 33in Cooper STT mud terrains. An hour ago I ordered the Bushwacker Flat Fenders. After 3 days of internet research I found them for $375 from autoanything.com and free shipping.

I never realised that was an upgrade for the home market. We get them as standard over here, along with D44 rear axles across the range!
