I agree^

George hit me up with some details about that swap, the new jeep looks really nice. I still will always dream about a rubi, but I know I can build one better with time. I imagine you just didn't have the time and money to do it yourself right now?

I finished this install this past Sunday. Banks Monster exhaust & aFe Cold Air Intake. Performance is arguable, but it sounds like it's performing better...haha. Sound is perfect, not obnoxious.

Have ORO Litedots and DDM Tuning ballast sitting in the garage begging to be installed; but waiting to build my aux box...very slowly.

I cleaned the inside of my frame. I took the shop vac and my blow gun and cleaned as much of the dirt and little rust flakes out as possible. The frame is surprisingly not that bad inside hopefully the frame is going to last me a few more years

Greetings To The TJ World!

Got rid of the previous owner's dino. oil, and gave the little rig a nice fill of Amsoil, and a fresh Wix filter. Engine performance is noticeably better!!

Headliner

Picked up a piece of 1" 4 x 8 foil backed foam at Home Depot and cut it to size then built a sanding jig to curve the sides (1/2" radius) and will cover it with beige duct cloth using headliner 3m glue. I'll tape in place with 3m double stick tape the red type.
Total cost less than $100 for both panels.

Installed OME Steering Stabiliser, Centric Premium Rotors and the much ballyhooed Black Magic Brake Pads which are cooling down in my garage right now... btw, my 99 TJ had a build date of April 21 1999 but actually took the shorter, "late" model rotors - so yep, ya gotta measure 'em!

(I'm two days late, sorry.)

On Thursday I finally removed my gas tank. This allowed me to do three things at once:

1) replace the fuel level sending unit
2) install the remaining backing plates for my upgraded rear bumper
3) remove the OEM skid plate and replace it with something much stronger

Tah-dah!

Painted the *inside* rear bumper with Rust-O-Leum flat black this morning.

Already took care of the slight surface rust in July with the clearcoat.

After looking how ^^ his rear bumpers came out, went out to home depot and took care of it.Looks as good as new...........

Also ordered the tailgate *entry guards* from 4wd because during heavy rainstorms. There seems to be slight leakage in the corners which caused the surface rust.

Took care of the one spot under the frame that was driving me nuts. The exhaust was the only thing under the frame that was sticking out like a sore thumb. A few minutes with some high temp header paint, and now the front drive shaft was sticking out. A few more minutes, and I quit looking!

Bedlined my grill and bezels with Duplicolor spray bed liner. Vast improvement. I might do the flares with it next.

Took off my paint peeled cowl and got it half ready to Rhino-line. Got a quote for $200 to have it repainted stock and since I'm going with all black hinges I think a rhino-lined cowl will look good, especially since it'll only cost me $8. Bonus is the money I saved went for new floor mats and hood hinges! Using the Rustoleum brand liner thanks to the tips from you guys here. It's currently still in Primer and I'll be finishing it up in the morning.

Replaced the turn signal switch in the steering column and the brake kill switch under the dash, after having both go out on me during my off-road adventures this past weekend in the Shenandoah area near Elizabeth Furnace camp grounds. Both were easy to replace, once I discovered that it didn't take much to remove the parts. I think the hardest part was hanging upside down with my head under the dash and feet dangling around...Sorry, no pics!!
