Curt tow hitch

Put this on this weekend. I know most Wranglers dont approve but I don't have my truck anymore and need to be able to trailer my Harley & Honda ATV. My oldest son thought he would be "artistic" and added the "Hitch Attachment" while I wasn't around...

This weekend my nephew (who owns a 97 TJ) and I replaced the small convenience light on the drivers side floorboard with an LED strip - I put one on the passengers side as well. Hooked them into a toggle, so when I have my doors off, I can manually turn them on/off. Its nice to be able to see

My post was meant to be more on the LOL side (because of the hitch accessory) and avert any feedback that would seem..... The actual research I did on the WF gave indicators that having/utilizing a trailer hitch is not one of the more "favorable" items to do because "of the shorter wheel base along other factors." Hence my statement of "...don't approve...". I have to agree though I do see a lot of CT Wranglers with them on as well.

I bathed my TJ, got the oil changed, all fluids topped off, and changed out the front passenger control arm bushing. Now it's a happy Jeep again.

Where did you get the control arm bushings as how much. And are they stock Cas. I recall not having much luck with replacements.

I have the Rubicon Express long arm lift. So I had to find a vender that sold Rubicon Express parts since they don't sell direct any more. My local vender was about a month out, so I called 4 wheel parts. Cost about $36 for one bushing kit. Then $26 for the tool to install(which can be made, but I was impatient).

They were spending but an easy replacement. The 4x4 shop here says that's all he orders for his joints because they're made so well. He builds a ton of stuff and does competition too. Here's the link to the bushing/joint I just installed RE3792 - SUPER-FLEX ASSEMBLY, LARGE - Rubicon Express

I took that clear light out and put in a blue led. Same concept but maybe simpler. Just my .02

What I did to my TJ today

I drove her to work. First time since TJ meets mountain on a rain slicked road in October 2011. About $2300.00, and 180 hours or so of Labor, (should be in Labor).

Made some home brew front quick discos ($10) and took off the rear completely. Hopefully the quick discos hold up, I've read they fail if not checked routinely. I'll just keep checking then every oil change.
