I just found out I can get on the air force base nearby and rent their garage and a lift for like $5 an hour. My intention is to lift my TJ up, clean the frame and coat the bottom with POR-15.

For today though I just went over my rig and contemplated what I'll sink money into next.

Just Empty Every Pocket

Swapped out the OEM CD player with a Pioneer. Went pretty smooth besides having to take out the old rear CD player mount and I didn't know that I needed to buy a radio antenna converter to fit the new CD player. Btw, not only does this model CD players Bluetooth work great for music but even for phone calls when my doors are off. Not to mention the overall sound from the speakers are 100% better.
What model of head unit did you go with?

Swapped 3 of the 4 radiator hoses. Drained and refilled with distilled again. Leaving the lower hose on for now until my new water pump comes. Sadly 4wd emailed today to tell me it's a 1-2 week back order on the part.

Also the brown Santa dropped off my Prothane winch isolator block and hi-lift keeper, Warn heavy duty hook with bottle opener and my Derale dual remote oil filter setup. This is a bypass unit so I'll be running 2 different types of filters and a magnetic collection system!

I hate it when online stores do not tell you before you check out that a part is not in stock.

I shop at a Volvo specialty shop a lot, and every product page tells the live count of that item. I have actually seen the number drop at busy times. Very helpful. And the order history page gives fairly accurate estimates on when an item will be in, should you go ahead and order something that is out of stock. It tells this this before you check out, too.

I think Quadratec has something like this now. But it is much more limited.

I wonder if such inventory control software is really expensive over the stuff many of the smaller 4x4 shops use. It seems that if they keep tabs on what they have that telling us as we shop would be an upgrade to their system and website that would not cost too much and would end up fostering some good customer relations due to the apparent transparency and honesty in the ordering process.

Otherwise, the way it is on a lot of sites seems like they simply want your money NOW and that they feel like, "Screw you, man. You'll get your parts soon enough. Quit whining!"

Hope you get your water pump soon!

I was going to just put the rev on a toggle, but I hit the toggle when I go into 1st gear sometimes. The last thing I need is to blind someone at a red light. So I have the trigger go from the rev light, to the toggle, then to the relay. That way it only works in rev, with the toggle on. Although I can bump the stick enough to get a tailgater off my rear if I need to.
Where did you get the small red light for your 3rd brake light?

Bought this jeep on Saturday. The next day I spent the whole day doing all this. I bedlined the fenders, the front bumper, hood latches and headlight inserts. Land vehicle Vehicle Car Jeep Automotive tire
Still Ned's to do the rear bumper and I'm thinking of doing the door jams as well. Maybe at some point bedlining the interior like my last one.
