Replaced the torn up Bestop Black Diamond, loose, flappy, thin top with an old 2003 sail cloth OEM top in Black Diamond. It is easily twice as thick and is much softer, folding easily and neatly where the Bestop one folded hard and sharply, always looking like it was about to crack or split (which it did over time). The old OEM one was stored in a box since about 2005 when the owner bought a hard top after moving up north. Recently he moved back and sold the TJ. After that he found the old top, but not the windows or the frame. I bought it from him for cheap. It is in excellent physical shape, but the dirt and pollen that sat on it since 2006 stained it. But the edges that fold over and connect to the windows are still looking pretty new and dark. I removed my torn up Bestop and installed this very old top. Perfect fit, tight as a drum, looks great (except for the color on the top). No more rain coming in through the holes above my head, no more loose, flappiness on the highway, and the Bestop windows fit perfectly and still look pretty new. Score! Time to get ready for work. See y'all!
purple power or WD40 and a power washer will take the stains out.
