what is better factory hardtop or bestop 2pc hard top?

So heres the story a guy wants to swap tops with me and im thinking pretty hard about doing it.
What i would like to know from you guys is if It would be a downgrade or if the bestop 2pc hard top is better than my factory hard top.

Thanks in advance,
Keger10

I would definitely keep the one-piece factory hard top.

I don't have a hard top, but I would imagine if he wants to trade with you, even he prefers the factory hard top. That may tell you something about the 2 piece.

The way I look at it, the 1 pc has no possible leak points except where it meets the jeep, the 2 pc has that extra possible leak place. I'd stick with the 1 pc but I'm just parinoid like that.

Those two piece tops look like a huge parachute to me. I think the wind buffeting in them would have to be pretty bad.

Agree with Jerry and Majnoon. When I was looking for a TJ for my son, I drove one with the 2pc Best Top. The fit was not that great. We ended up with a 97 that had some other type of aftermarket hard top and the fit is not that great. Been looking for 2 years but still hope to find him a factory unit one day.
