I thought in the late 80, early 90s a golden retirever was standard issue with a wrangler? Or was that part of the Sahara package? I forget, anyhow...

I've had many dogs growing up and thru my adulthood, by far the best dog I've ever had was/is my Boxer. She's so damn smart I hardly had to train her, doesn't have any wierd quirks, never needs a bath (she plays in the sprinklers every morning then sunbathes for an hour or so after) She's great with the kids and super-super protective, but it would break her heart to have to actually bite someone.
Boxers, best dogs in the world.

Yeah, both my boxers are awesome. Zeus looks like he would take your arm off, but that would only happen if you had a dog biscuit or cheeseburger in your had. Not your had he wants though. Roxie is just a lap dog and is too passive, even with strangers. Only time i've heard her bark is when she's in her kennel and wants out. English bulldogs are good dogs too, just not good for jeeping due to overheating and high maintenance. Great for the house though.

Love ours. Awesome purchase and so worth the money and peace of mind. (also quite a nice look to boot!) We picked up the black 3-piece I posted a few posts back from AllThingsJeep. They are well made and tough - the toothed locking system is durable and there is no way our 60 lbs dog can wiggle out unless he got adventurous and went out the top!

We went ahead and 'doubled-up' of sorts and purchased thin black 75lbs zip ties from Lowes for each net corner as added insurance being our guy has fallen in love with leaning on the nets when we drive - all you see from the side mirror is a bulge with fur sticking out and a nose. Pretty funny.

I can grab some close-up pics for you if you want - just give me a holler.
