What is this

I found this when taking my fender flares off it's a hole with plastic over it is it spose to be there?

yes its supposed to be there. its the attachment point for the body as robots move it down the assembly line.

Ditto! Ours has em too.
God I about ripped my fingers off trying to hold those plastic nuts while taking mine off today. What brain child at Chrysler came up with that? Angled ends so you can't grab em with pliers and such. Nice that they don't rust up but man!!!!

OK I was using an air ratchet instead of a hand ratchet, but still. LOL!

And had one of the pressed nuts spin on me, ended up popping the bolt and nut out of the fender. Got the bolt broke loose and reinstalled the nut. Cleaned and lubed everything and it went back together slick.

Really like the look of the liner coated flares vs the faded black before.
