So, removing that plate reveiled an even larger space. The frame apparently makes its own pocket for my compressor and a few other items. I think with a tool roll bag, everything but my jumper cables should fit there nicely.

Provided that there isn't any real reason NOT to use that space, a velcro strap or 2 will help tie down my torque wrench nicely to keep it from rattling, and a few eye bolts to replace the bolts that held the plate down will allow me to secure things nicely I think

Will be posting pics when this project is ready.
