What is this part by the throttle body?

Hello everyone. I have a '01 2.5L 5spd TJ. I was going to clean my throttle body for the first time using the great write ups I read on here. I noticed that there seems to be a broken spring or something that looks like it was once attached to something but now it just hangs. The jeep has always driven fine as far as I'm concerned. I was hoping someone could tell me what it is and what it's supposed to do. Also, is it something that needs to be replaced and the part number if you know it. Thanks a lot for your time!

PS: I circled it in red.

I think that is the spring that returns the throttle valve you see on the right (not sure if that is the correct term) to a closed position. I would have to go look at mine, but I think there is maybe a hook on the loose end. Hopefully someone else will chime in with something a bit more technical....

throttle return spring is correct. Loose end should be hooked thru the hole in the bracket above the G in Firing Order (stamped in manifold). Should need to stretch it just a bit to make it reach

Thanks for the reply!

I have located two similar parts for that.
1) 52078102
2) 52078102AB

The first part number is slightly cheaper, but I'm not sure which one is correct. Also, I was wondering how the jeep would drive differently with or without this spring? Does it affect performance or gas mileage?
