Arrow What is this thing on my TC output side???

Hi, everyone,

There is a big thick metal disc on the rear output side of my transfer case. What is it? I've looked around trying to figure it out, but I don't see any other NP-231's with that thing. Any idea what it is, what it's for, and what I do with it?

It was to dampen a low frequency vibration coming from the T-case.
This damper is also used on some XJ's.
