most shock manufaturers will show what length lift their shocks work with. You should also specify what brand your looking for too.

You'll need shocks for a 5" lift, and copious amounts of bumpstop extension to keep from damaging the shocks and springs. Probably ~16" compressed shock length with at least 3-3.5" front and rear bumpstop extensions is my guess. Don't forget about all the other stuff that goes along with 5" of lift too, like long/mid arms, SYE, CV rear shaft, adjustable track bars, steering upgrades, brake upgrades, etc, etc....good luck.

sway bar links, track bars, longer control arms, extended brake lines. You don't need upgraded steering or brakes because of a lift. You will need them if your getting bigger tires though. You will need a SYE at that height too. It's almost a whole new lift. I would suggest 5" coils over just getting spacers too. Will allow you to get more uptravel. Hell, I suggest getting a 5" lift and selling your old one.

Are you going up in tire size too?

Installing a SYE also requires a new driveshaft and adjustable rear control arms

The body lift will be much easier. You should be able to fit the 35's with 3" lift and 1.25" body lift.

Though now you should be looking at your steering, brakes and rear axle. Also your gear ratio too since no stock gearing is going to be good with 35's

d44 g2 axles or just the gears? if you got d44 axle you'll be good. What transmission do you have? That plays a role in the gearing selection.

I have tube fenders in the front. I'm sure if I had the stock fender it would have rubbed without extending the bumpstops.

2" is the max BL people around here don't bash. Though I would still do 1.25". I don't like the look of big body lifts.

5 speed, 4.56 or 4.88 are ideal but you can use your 4.11's and see what you think. I have 4.88's and 35's and it has good passing power on the highway. Anything lower and I bet I would be downshifting to get around people. And with 4.11's I bet you will have to downshift for hills.

Still wondering if you have new complete axles or just axle shafts and gears. Either way the d35 with chromoly shafts should be able to handle 35's not locked.

Ok, just wanted to make sure we were on the same page. Those are great axles. I suggest regearing your axles but that will cost around 1200.

You really won't know if the tires will rub till you get them on and flex out. Then you can get some extended bumpstops.
