Question what lift kit to buy

hey im new to the forum and i just got my jeep yesterday. its a 1999 wrangler se with a 4 banger in it. right now everythings stock on it. i want to add a lift kit but dont have a lot of money to spend. any advice on what to get, what i have been looking at are Skyjacker Standard 2" Spacer Lift Kit Skyjacker Standard 2" Spacer Lift Kit for 97-06 Jeep® Wrangler TJ & Unlimited - Quadratec
and also Rubicon Express 2" Economy Kit with Twin Tube Shocks Rubicon Express 2" Economy Kit with Twin Tube Shocks for 97-06 Jeep® Wrangler TJ & Unlimited - Quadratec
also i wanted to know if i should get the shocks with it or not. any advice is appreciated thanks

the lift you need depends on what size tires you will be using and how much you are willing to spend

both of those kits are fine, but the rubicon express kit has better shocks- and yes you will need new shocks for this lift kit

Either kit will be ok. I personally ran the SkyJacker kit for about a year and didn't have any issues with it.
