random person walks up to me:

"I was thinking about getting a Jeep, I wanted to know, what is the fastest you can go? I know it wasn't built for that but curious."

ME: The speedometer says 100 but I highly recommend you don't go that fast, especially if you have a lift with this version of the Jeep... Maybe with the newer version of the Jeeps you can.

"ok thanks just wondering, thats a sick looking Jeep by the way"

"

I work with a lot of truck drivers from around the country and often hear "you ever go off road with it"

my thoughts - 'no, i only put a lift, bigger tires, added lights and added body protection cause i have nothing better to spend thousands of dollars on'

LOL

I was just walking around the mall next to Goodyear waiting for them to balance/rotate my tires and do an alignment. I call the shop manager from my cell to tell him that the tire psi should be 26 (they always over inflate)... As soon as I told him who I was he said "Dude, all the guys in the shop love your Jeep."

What do you expect from truck drivers who put thousands in California drop bumpers and chicken lights?

Not a non-jeeper who said it, but I had her dressed up for memorial day, and I had a bigger TJ pull up next to me and say that it was the most bad-ass thing he'd ever seen.

Just recently at a party.
Her: How much did all that stuff cost you!?!
Me: Way too much, and yet, not nearly enough.

Also my wife asks: How much did this new ____ cost?
me: Dont ask questions you dont want the answers to.
her: Where are you getting the cash from?
me: ... Do I have to repeat my last answer?

Its all in fun and games, she controls the finances so all my Jeep parts come from side jobs and overtime/bonuses from work.

Great choice, it always scares me when they ask you for the engine to find a bulb

I think it is funny when they use to ask me if my YJ was 4X4 at the parts store. never seen a two wheel drive jeep unless a drive shaft was broken.

In-N-Out guy was like "Hey that's like the one from One Car Too Far!" The only thing that's the same about that Jeep is that it is red. LOL.

Another In-N-Out guy wanted to know what year it was and stuff like that

Taco Bell drive thru the girl said " I really like your truck."

Guy in the Rite-Aid parking lot wanted to buy it

Guy at home depot: "Nice Jeep" as i drove past him

The funny thing about this is that this has all happened in about 2 weeks. I took my doors off and everyone loves it. I've had my Jeep for two years and before I took the doors off people rarely made a comment about it.
