Well he is kinda right. An old built up Toyota pickup will pretty much beat our Jeeps at almost everything.

But a built jeep and a built Toyota both have problems, Toyota needs to get rid of that nasty ifs, and jeeps need to be more reliable lol, but in the long run jeeps will always look so much better and be so much more fun to drive

I don't think so, the short wheelbase really kills us a lot of the time even on stretched rigs. I've wheeled with built up yotas and Jeeps and can honestly say the yotas are better. Plus they are way cheaper to build. Still love my Jeep though.

I was going for a hike and the road up is a steep mountain road with deep cross ditches and washout. Cars park at the bottom, trucks suvs about 1/2 way up and my jeep made it to the top where the road finally branches off into a couple tight quad trails and footpaths. The shortwheel base kills it going up there, especially if u hit a dead end and have to turn around without falling off the mountain

I was sitting at a red light at an intersection. The light turn green and as I was pulling through the intersection I heard a honk. I turned to look and saw a guy in another TJ, hanging half way out his window with his fist pumping giving me the "right on man" look. I don't know if he was a new Jeeper or what. lol.

Today I had to refrain from killing the woman in the garage (Gas Station) who having relieved me of large sums of money for a small amount of Gas then looked at my TJ and said "My son would love your Land Rover".

I don't mind slow, but riding your brakes thought the parking lot is a bit much,or the family going 45 down the highway, man It's irritating, and I go no faster than 65!

I've asked my friend who owns a super sports bike why he speeds 60+ on residentials 120+ highway and he says its safer on a bike, of course we all know its bs, but he actually keeps to his "my bike is safer than your jeep in any situation"mentality, not saying all bikers are hardheaded but this particular one is a bit of one.

You won't believe how many people around here buy new JKUs at around $48 000 and then spend another $10 000 on mods just to drive to work, school, the mall. Rediculous I tell you!

My favorite was when I was laying on the ground under my jeep one day at the school lot cuz I had heard some extra creaking on the drive and was checking on it. Heard two kids walking by say
"Dude is that Dobush's?"
"Yeah. It's one of the nicest jeeps in town."
And you'd act like nobody's ever seen someone work on their own car in this town.

I use to belong to a motorcycle club in FL, where one of the members was the founder of the Florida Better Biking Program. At the time I completed the course, the insurance companies were reporting that between autos and motorcycles, on an average, there were less accidents on bikes than auto. And, between those accidents, on an average, there were less deaths on bikes then autos. The only thing the insurance companies and the FBBP could attribute the data to, is the fact that motorcyclist have a better chance of escaping the vehicles instead of being trapped inside them. That being said, the report did not say there were less injuries, on average.

Quite honestly though, it's people like your friend who not only give motorcyclist a bad image, but they end up being on the wrong side of the statistics. I drive one of the safest vehicles on the road, in terms of accidents, yet driving like your friend would still get me killed.

It also depends on how good of a rider you are and you know where your & your bikes limits are. I know of people that arent the bes riders but have never had a wreck and those that are excellent riders but tend to exceed their limits.

This doesnt mean I agree with the guy doing 120+ and I agree that it gives bikers a bad rep but so does tv shows like sons of anarchy, in fact I think sons of anarchy is worse, cause Ive walked into a mcdonalds wearing my vest and the cashier jumped out of her skin thinking I had a gun and was gonna rob her.

Yeah I was relieved and disappointed at the same time when my town got almost no water... Thankfully no homes were destroyed but I didn't get a chance to go mudding because of it.
