Had a guy sitting in front of SEARS last fall offered to buy my JEEP. I said, are you crazy? He said nope, I want one and yours is awesome. I said, sorry dude, no sale, best car I have evern owned. Most dependable car to date.

Then I had a dude offer me $200 bucks for my hard top. I said, right. Try $1000 and I may consider it.

I said yup I did...I shouldn't have sold the other one, would've had two now!!!

I get this one more than any other. It pisses me off. It makes me want to reply with, "I'll tell you how much I have in my Jeep if you tell me how big your wife's fun bags are!"

It caught up with me after having my LJ a year, my wife wanted her own Jeep. So we traded in her 2010 Hyundai Tuscan for a 2014 Willy's. When out of the woodwork the questions came...thought you were ever gonna get rid of the Hyundai. Thought you loved Hyundai and the warranty! What happened to....etc, etc, etc

Truth be told, in all my years, never had I had such good service from a company than Hyundai. Regardless where we were in the country, for an oil change or maintenance, it was always great.

My response after a few hecklers was that fun and great memories outweighs a warranty and gas mileage...

a couple of friends were up on some of my family land checking on their horses (I lose count of them all but I'd say we have atleast 15-20 and let them take their 2 horses up there to graze the fields with ours during the warm months) and one asked me if my jeep goes good, I didn't say a word, I just started the jeep and proceeded to climb this steep, rocky hill that even very few people on fourwheelers will go up. now anytime me and him are hanging out if anyone mentions my jeep he has to tell them how "man that thing climbs good you can't stop it you should see what a hill it went up!". I can't help but feel accomplished. his girlfriend is also always saying, "you should let me drive your jeep", and I say, "it'd take someone special to drive my jeep" and she says, "well I am special and I know how to drive and I love your jeep so you should let me drive it!", too bad I always gotta break her heart lol, not my woman, so it aint happening, but she has rode in it before and so have a few other girls haha

A lady at the gas station the other day, "Is it safe to drive without a windshield? What about bugs and wind?". I said to her, "I have goggles for the wind and luck for the bugs!".

I get on the spot offers for my Willys all the time.

Now that I just bought my TJ, the most common question is "Why do you need two jeeps?"

I actually had a great conversation the other day with a few guys from the "other side of the tracks" while pumping gas. All started over them complimenting the jeep. It probably helped that I'm a huge fan of yest roll caprices and complimented their 95 9c1 police package caprice with the LT1 . Wasn't really a fan of the candy green paint on 22"s But I doubt they appreciated everything about the LJ either. I just found it great that the love and appreciation for vehicles could bridge cultural, racial and social-economic bridges and foster conversation. While I say hello to everyone I make eye contact with, I doubt I would have gotten much more than a grunt or at most a "hey" out of them had it not been for the Jeep. You all can blot your eyes one last time and put away the tissues now.

My wife was talking to a colleague about his brand new 4 door JK (former non-jeep owner), she stated that we have a TJ. He asked, "Is your TJ a four door or a two door?"

Can't really blame non jeep owners or new ones. The cj/yj/tj/jk/wj designations are confusing at first.

Went to a local restaurant in my 2013 JK today. The owner is a jeeper. He had never noticed my JK in the past. But he loves my TJ. Whenever I roll up and he happens to see it he makes a comment when I come in. But for some odd reason I realized that I usually park the JK in a place away from the front window. Intentional act on my part? Who knows?

Anyway, I parked the JK by the window TODAY. And when I went in he complemented my "new jeep" but looked a bit unhappy. When I finished and came up to the counter to pay he took on that mildly concerned, unhappy look again. So I asked...

He said, "I like that new jeep a lot, but it sure it too bad you sold off that old TJ. I love TJs."

He cracked a huge smile when I told him I still have my TJ. He said, "Never, ever, ever sell that thing, son. It's a classic like the original pre-fastback Mustangs. They just don't make 'em like that no more."

Bought my TJ a couple of weeks back. I was raised around jeeps, my wife around trucks. We are driving around the first night and a stock JK pulls up to the same stop light as us. She looks across at it and said "Look, a baby Jeep"
