Friend: "Is that a 4?"
Me: "No, it's a 4 liter."
Friend:"Oh, it's a V-6?"
Me: "No, it's an L-6."
Friend: "A what?"
Me: "An in-line 6, like a 4 but with 6."
Friend: "But, it's 4-wheel drive?"
Me: "Sometimes."
Friend: "Is it a 4-speed auto?"
Me: "No, it's a 5-speed manual."
Friend: "Rear seat?"
Me: "Sometimes."
Friend: "So, it's a
SIX cylinder,
FIVE speed,
FOUR wheel drive,
THREE seat,
TWO door,
all in ONE!"
Me: "Sure, why not ..."

I have weird friends. I didn't bother to argue the point that the 3 seats actually seat 4 people. Why ruin his moment?

I was trying to pick up a girl at a bar one day. She told me later that her friend told her to stay away from me. I couldn't even afford a car with doors!

Might wanna change your Jeep profile info to I-6 instead of L-6 No such motor as an L-6. Unless its a 6.0L then you have a Chevy V-8

The I stands for Inline not inLine lol

That's messed up. At least it was her friend thinking that not her. Just ignorant if you ask me haha.

Wikipedia says the inline 6 or straight 6 is often abbreviated as I6 or L6. Don't know where the L comes from but that's what it says.

funny story. about 2 years ago i let my buddy drive my jeep down to the store and it was prolly the 2nd time ever he drove a stick. He did good but when we got back in my driveway he shut it off then he was trying to get the key out of the ignition not awhere there is a small button behind the key you have to press in to release the key.

Friend: " key won't come out"
Me: "push the clutch in"
Friend: "still isn't coming out"
Me: "push the clutch in, and the gas pedal"
Friend: "isn't coming out!"
Me: "push all 3 pedals in"
Friend: "OKAY NOW YOUR F**KING WITH ME!"

Okay, I stand corrected. It's an I-6. I seem to remember from my Chevy Camaro days that the straight six was referred to as an L6. The "L" being for longitudinal. Seems like 4 bangers were L4's. Quick Google search and it's an... I-6. Oh well, learn something new I guess.

But, back to topic, another comment from a Non-Jeeper:

I e-mailed some friends pics of the new grille guard after it was installed, 'cause I'm just annoying that way.
One replied and asked, "Can you still fit a wench between the grille and guard?"

I said, "No, there's not enough room. She would have to sit on the hood."

I don't have any trails nearby, so when I'm busy and can't really go too far from home I'll head over to an unpaved parking lot/field just behind a bakery thrift store. Great place to go muddin after it rains.
I pulled up to my house the other day in my mudball. My neighbor was walking out to his truck and says, "I see you were at the bread store again".

When rolling into a 4wd park,a young fellow yelled at me to "get a real four wheel drive",two hours later we offered him and his mate a ride back to campsite after wrecking their "real" Nissan Patrol. We wheeled loudly past that camp many times over the next day or two...
