Cool What shocks to install?

I am a new member and the shady tree mechanic for two Jeeps, a 2000 and 2001 Wranglers owned by my daughters. After a lot of time and expense they are both on the road with varying levels of rebuild performed on each. The 2000 with a new motor and the 2001 with new driveline including new trans, axle bearings, carrier and re-gearing from 3.07 to G2 - 4.11 w/Eaton Detroit limited slip. Both Wranglers have the OEM shocks which are beat to death and are in desperate need of replacement. However, their is chatter about wanting to put no more than a 2/3 inch suspension lift on at least one in the future. My question is to know if it is possible to purchase shocks that would accommodate a mild lift down the road which could be installed now and also used on the current OEM suspension?

Most would recommend the Old Man Emu shocks for a quality DD shock. personally running the OME 2.5 inch lift. LOVE IT. OME lift/shocks have made my 01TJ ride and handle better than it did stock.

Im about to do the OME 2" lift. I've never heard anything bad said about it.

Loving my Rancho RS7000MT shocks. OME are good too and I have ran them, but for the price, the Ranho's are nice.

OME, Bilsteins, and Rancho RS9000 are 3 great riding shocks. I vote for the Ranchos RS9000XL for the adjustability of 9 different ride settings.

Which kit are you running? heavy or light? Do you have any pics of your setup? I am trying to decide which way to go with my '01.
Thanks

Call dirk at DPGoffroad.com. He can set you up with the proper spring rates for your rig. I'm running the Dpg ultimate lift. There are 14 different spring rates you can choose from when it comes to ome, however most large stores only carry the cookie cutter package. Dirk will set you up with the best set for your personal rig.
