You can request a build sheet from jeep
Just request a build sheet in the comments section
It took them about a week to get mine to me

Contact Jeep

It all depends on your plans. Most people say anything over stock tires will break a D35. Others have run it with 35" tires (I think it's a crap shoot)

I don't think it should be a deal breaker(you can always find a used D44).

I wonder how much a new d44 would cost installed at a dealer or aftermarket shop.. Hopefully it has a d44

I've seen them in magazines for around $2500.00(no telling what a shop would charge for labor)
I wouldn't worry about it, you can find a used one ready to bolt in for 600-1000(make sure it has the same gears as front)

BTW if at all possible stay away from dealerships, there's a reason you see people type "stealerships"

phil has it pretty well covered so alls I'll do is add this http://www.wranglerforum.com/f5/tj-l...ion-50307.html but is probably not to different from the link he posted..

and build sheets are nice to have.. If you had the vin I'd look it up right now for ya but not to hard when you go see the jeep to just get under there and look at the axle yourself

I would but depends on what you want to do with it.. If you plan to put in lockers at any point or go over a 33in tire then get one with a D44. If you have no need for lockers or a tire over 33in then the D35 is fine.

And yes I can run another vin for ya.
