What size lift for clearance

Hey all, just joined the site. Been browsing for a few weeks and haven't been able to find the answer I have been looking for. I recently moved from Northern Michigan to Northern California and brought my 06 Rubicon with me. I have been meaning to get a lift and larger tires, but put it off in Northern Michigan due to my long drive times. Now that I am here, I drive less than 3 miles a day, so the gas mileage drain is not as big of an issue.

Anyways, on to my question. I went from living in the middle of the woods to a major city, so clearance is an issue. I frequently use parking garages with a 7 foot clearance, and was wondering what lift/tires I could go with without having issues. My plan was a 6" lift and 35" tires, which should be around 8" taller than I am currently riding. Do I have these calculations correct? Does anyone know or run into these issues before?

Thanks in advance for all your help...

Actuall,y you can run a 4.5" kit with a 1" body lift and get away with 35's.

I run a 6" lift and 35" MTZ's. My jeep is 6' 7" tall. This measurement is after a two year break in period. The front tires do rub the fenders at full stuff and the rear tires have not rubbed yet.

You should have no problem with it.
