they come black, the plastic usually oxidises and turns grey. use Krylon fusion and spray them what ever color you want. I just did mine in a flat black using the fusion and it came out great!

Just bought two new cans of Krylon Fusion Satin Black today. I plan on painting this weekend (if the wife doesn't make me hang Christmas lights).

I just used the Krylon Fusion Satin Black to paint the rear bumper ends today. It looks great and only took about an hour. If it holds up well I'm going to do my flares after the first of the year.

Here are some pics. It is lifted but I didn't do it. It was done by it's first owner. It has a spacer lift. I will get pics when I paint the flares too.

I plan on taking mine off to paint them. Something else that works for awhile is Back to Black. It stays for about two weeks or untill it rains hard.

Me too. I think they're an awesome tire and for some reason are always overlooked.

On Christmas Eve I painted my flares. Took about 6 hours, but I took my time and a lunch break and had to watch my kids for a little while. Anyways, it wasn't too hard and they looked great until I got gas last night and the stupid nozzle spilled alittle gas on the one flare. So I guess next week I get to repaint one.

Didn't they used to make kitchen appliances with that 'blue' color?

I used Meguires tire black on mine and they've stayed black for almost three months now. I need to clean them again now, but three months is a good run IMO.

I ordered a set of rubicon flares from the dealer and will be painting those white to match the rest of the machine, so for me it's more of a band-aid fix, I don't care about long term color as they will be gone soon.

Dont mean to hijack the thread but the can says you should paint between temps of 50 to 85...well i live in NH and by the time its 50 around here its gonna be at least march so i guess my question is has anyone painted their flares in colder temps than 50 and if you have how did it come out?
