what us a hard top worth?

I'm looking to sell my hard top (or trade for a soft top) in order to buy a soft top. But I have no idea what they are worth. I know that the price varies per region. But keep in mind I live in northern Alberta (Canada) and its winter 6 ish months of the year. Lol. Thanks for any input!

in tennessee they usually go for $800-1200USD. i definitely wouldn't trade straight up for a soft top.

If I lived in Canada I wouldn't get rid of a perfectly good hard top. I live in NE Pennsylvania and won't get rid of mine. You'll regret it in the winter.

I'll get a soft top one day, but it will be for the summer only and even then, only when it rains.

I think I sold mine for $800 and it had a crack in the fiberglass.

Had my listed for $600 sold for $400
Is was in ok shape, Minor defects, rear wiper needed replaced. If it's in great shape you could probably get more but most people are cheap and don't want to pay up near a grand for a used top.

Good luck

I sold my stock one for 900, no problem. A newer two-piece for 1600, that I got for 450 from a bankrupt dealer .

I have seen a LOT of them listed for $1000+- around here, but they don't sell. I bought my 04 hard top for $400, it was in VGC no scratches or cracks, just needed a new rear window lift shock.

I just bought one a few days ago for 400 bucks. Black with tinted windows, rear defrost and rear wiper. The rear vents were fiber glassed shut and need a little touch up. In the northwest they seem to bring 800 to 1000 in the winter. If it's in nice shape I would try putting it on ebay. One last week brought 1620 in excellent shape.

Cool! Thanks for all the input everyone. I'm probably going to list it for 1200 and see what I get offered.

It won't be driven in winter. I have a truck for that. The jeep is only a toy Thanks though.

I got a decent hard top that just needs some plexiglass to fill in the sunroof and some upperhalf doors, along with 4 stock tires and rims and front and rear bumpers for $150 prolly the greatest deal.

See,
I'm not the only person who DOESN'T drive their Jeep in the winter!!

Being in Michigan, I wouldn't sell my hard top either, but some day may get a soft top. Kid has moved out so I don't have anyone here to help lift the top off anymore and I hate taking it off over at my brothers because the goof ball kids who live out behind him would be climbing all over it!!
