I suggest going online with ebay or autotrader...Those figures indicate a more accurate current price range...Jeeps ususlly drop in price during the fall and winter seasons however, this year the demand even for soft-tops, has remained very high. Wholesale auction prices often exceed the "book value"
but dealers, both new car and used, will pay premiums for clean, honest vehicles.
i bought my 98 with a hard top, bikini top, full doors and half doors, and 2 sets of coils.
the jeep had 98,000 miles on it and it is the 4.0L Sport
i got smokin good deal on it.
if the jeep your looking at is a year newer and has twice the milage i wouldn't say its a steal but it is a fair price, esp if there is rust here and there. Don't just run out and buy it, look it over, bring it to a certified mechanic and see what they say about the drive line and such. dont be a knuckle head, look it through
