White side out, and you can touch it up with duplicolor hot tires paint or whiteout!

Do what you like. I like white out as it eventually wears off and becomes black anyway from all the rocks.

I've yet to have white letters "fade" or discolor before the tires wear out. So, 2-5 years.

Had 2 sets fade out on me (rock rubbing) so if you are using it as a dd and like the look of the white walls have at it I like the look as well but I keep getting the faded look as mentioned above

In or out....totally depends on what Jeep.

Some Jeeps look better in, others out.

Agree to that.

All depends on your accent points on the Jeep itself, understated = out, over = in

I prefer letters in. When I think of letters out I think of some 80s IROC Camaro and a guy with a mullet drinking Bud Light

for a Jeep Wrangler? this is an easy one: white lettering out, especially if that lettering says "wrangler".

now, on a Grand Cherokee? no way, has to be black walls out.

tip for cleaning white lettering on tires: use SOS pads (not Brillo, SOS brand pads). it will take about one or even two pads per tire (they will tend to disintegrate as your scrub the letters), then for occasional touch up use Westley's Bleach White on a sponge. give me the worst faded lettering and a few minutes and i can make them look brand new again.

Imo, 4 parts of a tires profile that look good on a wrangler. Large tires, 15" rims, gnarly side biters, and raised white letters (that say WRANGLER DURATRAC). Just my opinion

^do the Duratracs actually say "duratrac" in white letters?

side question: other than the '03-'06 Rubicons (w/ the MTR's) did any TJ come from the factory with anything other than raised white letter tires (lettering facing out)?

Never seen the white letters on a tire wear off and turn black, the rubberaround them I'd white...

I use this to keep my tires looking good

As a matter of fact they do not just Goodyear Wrangler, but they still look good.

One side in, the other side out.

But, if I had to choose, white OUT. It just gives the Wrangler that classic look.

ALL TERAIN glad to read that, I was thinking about getting a set of Duratracs and did not want to give up the "wrangler" that I have now on these Silent Armors, which have "goodyear wrangler" in white letters.

ALL TERAIN: nice looking TJ, even better w/ the letters out. I think the Duratracs are the best looking tires for most of the TJ's that I've seen.

The white can't "wear off". It's a solid layer of white rubber, under the black rubber sidewall.

Yep. And some Westley's will clean the scuffs right off.
