What's my motor worth?

I've got a 4.0 out of my 03 TJ that has 53k on it. It will need either need rings or a valve job on one cylinder. It used a bunch of oil. I'm trying to sell it and was wondering what I should ask for it.

Get a quote from a local shop on the repair cost and then subtract that from the price. I paid $1,900 for a brand new 4.0 with zero miles if that helps.

Which means it needs a rebuild, worth core value.

Paid 50 for a full engine intake starter alternator etc. It over heated but never cracked or warped. It cost me about 1800 total to rebuild the engine then sold my 4.0 with 210000 and a thrown rod for 75. My bet is any where from 50 to 100. It needs fully rebuilt in my opinion.
