I'm looking for an aftermarket exhaust. Something that would sound good on a wrangler, has a deepish sound to it, and gives me better power especially for when i'm wheelin. Obviously don't want a high pitch sound lol. I have a 2005 Wrangler w/ a straight 6 engine. If you know of a good one for my jeel please help. Don't know to much about exhausts.

Trust me when I say, it sounds pretty damn good. Nice and deep. No one will mistake you for a Honda with a fart cannon if that's what you're worried about. Engine braking with it sounds amazing too. My only complaint is if I miss-shift its pretty obvious to everyone lol

I'm doing headers pretty soon and I can only assume its going to get even better sounding :D

I have the Banks Monster exhaust on my LJ. Everything else on the exhaust is stock so it does sound slightly muffled for my liking, but after hearing another local guy with the same setup plus headers it really opens it up a lot more.

edit: for some reason I thought you were already deciding on the banks. My fault for not reading your post fully lol

I have the flowmaster super 44 off road version and I removed the third cat. My state doesnt do emissions and it(3rd cat) used to get the brush that would get caught in the skidplate super hot to the point of fire. I do not recommend the super 44 if you have a hardtop. It resonates the cab really bad at low rpm with the hardtop on. Take the top off and I can hardly hear it. Sorta annoying. The hardtop is like a shell for the noise to echo around. I did install the banks monster cat back on my sisters TJ she has years ago and think it was way better than the flowmaster just spendy. My TJ is a 2006 4.0L.
