I found that in Wenatchee we have one station that does not use 10% moonshine in their Gas. With that tank I got 19 MPG. Still drove it normally. Seems to make a diff

(Keep those Corn Cobs outta my gas tank!)

Who you racin'? I have a 2000 3.25" lift (BB+BL) and 33s and I'm getting anywhere between 19.7 and 21.3. Did you replace your speedo gear so you can calculate accurately? I'm using my garmin since I'm only off by 3mph on the speedo but that adds up when it comes to miles driven. If the difference is the additional 3+ inches, I'm stayin' loooooww.

Edit: same 3.73 gears

I have not replaced my speedo gear. But I had a buddy fallow close behind me and found how far off my speedo and odometer were off and used that to calculate. How the heck are you getting 20? And what do you mean you're stayin low?

It's easy to get to 20 with mostly hwy miles with little braking. By staying low I mean I'm not lifting any higher than I am now.

Maybe my toe in is way off or something

Pretty much the same here. 4.0L 4 speed auto, 2" suspension lift 32" tires on 17" wheels with 3.73 gears. 33" tires and 4.88's coming soon. We'll see which way it goes. Right now I turn right at 2k rpms at 70 mph, so it definetly lugs a little on the highway unless I kill the overdrive.

You also need to adjust your speedometer.

14 on a 02 TJ, 4.0 auto/3.73/30" AT's about as stock as you can get, soft top creates a little more drag. I'm gonna replace O2 sensors and check it, may look at injectors too.

I think 16 is attainable but not average.

00 TJ 4.0 auto - bone stock - rag top - avg 18.6 over the past 1200 miles. Flushed and filled everything and replaced air filter. Plugs replaced right before I got it, and thottle body cleaned at the same time. Mixed city/hwy, but more city. I drive like an old guy, haven't been in a hurry to get anywhere in a good 10 years, and I doubt I've ever had the jeep over 65 mph. lol If you have an android phone, get a cheapy bluetooth OBDII adapter (~ $20) and an app called Torque (~ $5). You get a really good picture of what's going on while you drive (mpg instant, etc).

My jeep came with a 215/15 tire (28-29") I have 31's now. I need to put in my new gear today.

I let my tank run dry (gas ready) and then I put in the full 19 gallons.

My odometer read 285 miles = around 15 mpg but considering my speedo is off I'm thinking maybe 16-17. Seems to be the norm for the 4.0
For folks without GPS to calculate speed, set cruise [or pedal it] at 60mph and clock between milemarkers on the interstate. Should take 1 minute exactly. If not, highschool math calculates it.

And my 04 LJ is getting 17.8 on the road [country road/interstate mix] with straight regular gas. With 10% ethanol it gets around 17.

About 13, I really don't pay attention anymore.

When the gauge gets low I stop at the station and give them all my money.

Then it's back on the road Jeepin.
