personally i would run an 8" rim but either would work.....i would look at what tires you plan to run and what the manufacturer suggests

For a straight street Jeep, a 15x10 wheel would be fine. But for a Jeep that sees both street and trail use where you'll be airing down your tires, 15x8 is by far the preferrable way to go. I ran 15x8 with my 33x12.50 tires with excellent success and the same wheel is working great with my 35x12.50 tires. And think of it this way... a tire that is aired down for offroading has a heck of an easier time staying seated safely against two wheel edges that are 8" apart than if they were 10" apart.

this comes up all the time, i've done both, i've never had a 10" wheel bust a bead on me wheeling the crap out of it. 10" wheel sticks out farther, slightly widening the stance making a little more stable, looks cool to some, making it wider on tight trails also. 8" wheel most guys prefer, for what jerry said, the bead to stay seated. its a personal thing, go with what you like.
