Hello all
Still looking into bigger/more agressive tires. I have a 2" spacer lift and 15x7 american racing wheels. What's the largest tire I can fit on these? I've been looking into either 32's or 33's for tires but not sure about how wide I can go with my existing rims.
Should I look into 15x8 or 16x8 wheels instead? Cragar makes affordable black ones that look cool. Any pics to show?
Thanks so much!
if your gonna keep the same wheels then you can't go bigger than 31x10.50's without rubbing the control arms (assuming the BS is the same as a stock wheel) now if you get different wheels, say 15x8 with less backspacing then you can fit 32's no problem...and some people do fit 33's. What kind of offroading do you do? If its just something like snow for example I don't see why you couldn't go with 33's if you wanted to.
Yeah, just snow and sand for now. I have 30x10.50's right now so I think 31's will not be a noticeable difference. I was looking more at 32's or 33's. I also saw these wheels on quadratec but I am not sure about the backspacing I need, I think I'd be looking at 16x8's: https://www.quadratec.com/products/92600_2XX_PG.htm
Do you have a pic of your wheels bigjeep? The thumbnail pic on the side looks really cool but can't see much.
Thanks!!!
Ooops...actually I have 30x9.5's - I went to a local tire place today to get a better idea of what I could get, but they weren't too knowledgeable. I have American Racing outlaw II wheels (15x7). When I make the switch I'll have the set of 5 for sale really cheap. The spare hasn't even been used. I'm thinking black wheels and 32's. I looked at tirepackage.com but I think it may be cheaper to buy things separate. Thanks so much!
Hey guys, just reading your post, can you fit 32x11.5 R15 tyres on a 15x7 rims? I have just put a 2 inch lift on my 1999 TJ.
