Wheel Spacer Size for 33x12.5x15

I was considering going with the Cragar Soft 8's for my 2003 Sahara with 3" lift but am now leaning towards wheel spacers. What is everyone running to clear 33x12.5x15 tires on their factory wheels? I will have some serious rubbing stock- no spacers, so I need something. I am wondering if 1.25" is enough or 1.375 or even 1.5 will be necessary.

Is anyone running this setup?

If i may say! DO NOT GO CHEAP on these. Your life depends on it. I would go with spider trax

I try and never use spacers if can help it. You are adding additional stress to every component this can cause damage. I know lots of people who have done it problem free but 3 people who found there selves replacing axles and more as a result of spacers.

I am noticing the price for 4 spacers is about the same as a set of the Soft 8's anyways

I'm not sure there is any stress differences in less than regular backspaceing and spacers.

I got my soft 8s from Jegs for like $221 shipped for 4. However, I did order the wrong size, got the 7" wide wheels instead of 8s. The 8s were only like 2 more dollars.

Are they the standard 4" backspacing? I emailed Summit Racing and they told me they would not fit. I know they are used a lot in the Jeep world, so I am not sure what the CSR was talking about.

Get the cragar vstar 15x8... They have 3.75" backspacing... I turn full lock with no rubbing and they look nicer than soft 8s in my opinion... $227 for 4 shipped from quadratec

i had steel wheels and hated them. They are heavy, they're hard to balance, and the runout is horrible compared to machined aluminum/alloy wheels. I ditched 100lbs from my rig by switching from 31" tires on 16" wheels to 33x12.50R15's on Procomp aluminum wheels (which I got on craigslist for a whole lot less than new). I also ran Spidertrax wheel spacers for a while with stock wheels...problem is no tire shop will touch a vehicle with wheel spacers on it due to liability, so I had to remove the wheels and take them in to have them balanced. That ment I needed a 2nd set of tires/wheels, or I needed to remove the wheel spacers every time I wanted Discount to rotate or balance the tires...huge PITA.

I have 2" lift with 2" wheel spacers and have not had a problem in 3 years. I paid $120 on eBay for a set of 4. I love the look. I have 33 12.5 15 on my Jeep.
