Smile wheel/tire size help.

I'm currently pricing up a 4 inch lift for my 04 TJ,
To help keep the initial costs down was then going to run 33in tires on my current wheels which I thought were 15x8.
My problem is I found the receipt from when the previous owner had the wheels fitted and it states the wheels are 15x7. Will I be able to run 33's on 15x7 wheels or even in the future 35's if I fit a body kit. Thanks

I would check tire prices on the 15's. I run 16x8 inch rims. Tire size is common and plenty wide enough for 33's or 35's

I am running 33x10.5x15 on 15x7, I personally like to run a skinnier tire. I will be running 35 x12.5x15 on 15x8's soon though, mainly because there aren't many manufacturers who make a skinny 35 inch tire.

If you go to a 12.5" wide tire, they should really be on 8" rims. 33's with a 10.5" width would be okay on the 7" wide wheels. All the tire manufacturers have a range of specified rim widths for eah tire size. If you stay with 15" diameter rims instead of going to 16's, you'll spend a LOT less for tires.

Thanks for the info,
So its 33's with 10.5" width to fit on my 15x7 wheels. Then upgrade my wheels to 15x8 if I go to 35's or 33x12.5" in the future. Thanks
