Question Wheel Warping??

Hello everyone!

I have a question for y'all. Recently my 2006 TJ Sport began rocking at high speeds (butt vibrating, not Death Wobble). I noticed that one tire is not wearing evenly, and have noticed that the last 2 times I have had my tires rotated and balanced, that they have added more weights to this tire than the rest. I took my Jeep in to Discount Tire, and asked them to take the tires off and balance the wheel and the tire separately. My thinking was that the belt was slipping on the tire, but the guy at the shop stated that my wheel “bore” was warped some (I finally got clarification that he meant the center of the wheel). I have the Stock Sport steel wheels (I am working on upgrading... that’s another subject) with BF Goodrich All-Terrain 32s. The tires are only 3 years old and they have less than 50K miles on them.

Has anyone ever heard of the wheel bore warping, or is the guy BSing me? I just wanted to check on here before I go back to have them balance the wheel with me watching (aka hovering).

Thanks!

M
