Wheels Adapters and Tires

I've just bought a 1997 Wrangler. It comes with 15" Tires. I want to put bigger sizer tires on it. I went to buy a set of 18" that come from a 2010 4 doors Wrangler. I remembered the first time when I was asking for help InfernoGirl had helped me by suggesting the wheels adapters. I put the 18" tires in. Now my problem is when making a k-turn, the truck comes to a complete stop when backing up and you can hear the tires dragging; same thing with making a sharp turn. You have to force the truck in order to finish the turn. Is it because the wheels are too big or do I need to change something else? (Note: The tires are not rubbing against the body of the truck). What do you think could be the problem? The truck runs smoothly when not making turns. Please, help me before I go crazy.....

Thank you,
