Wheels.. Black wheels.

Looking for pictures of darker rims like black, knight chrome ect. Just got my lift on and was planning on going with the Mickey t classic lock. With a black ring, but every one thinks I'd be better off going blacked out. So wanna see what's out there. I like the Mickey t sidebiters but heard the backspacing sucked so it's up in the air now. And I've narrowed the tire down to mtz's or duratracs. Thanks!

Personally, I'm a chrome wheel guy but most of your accents are black, so black or something dark would probably look best. I'll conjure up a few pics for you. don't know how many will be yellow jeeps though.

What's supposedly wrong with the backspacing on MT Sidebiters? It's shallower than a lot of wheels, but not by that much. It's better than being too deep, and I don't think they stick out too far- especially once I get some wider flares on. The first pic I just took, the second is from when I first put them on back in July so you can get an idea of how far they stick out.

I just heard it sucked, I didn't know if it was to far out or to shallow. But those look good. I already have the 6 inch flares. So it wouldn't be bad at all.

All the Sidebiters I looked at w/5x4.5 bolt patterns, have 3.31" bs. Will push your wheels out pretty far. Adding stress to the (what ever it is that is stressed by too little bs...) It'll be ok, but eventually stuff will wear out sooner than it would if you stayed with the stock bs. Of course with stock bs, you can't go wider than 10.5" tires....

So in other words It's almost better to get something closer in because it won't wear stuff out as fast. And with those u can still get the 12.50's best of both workds

Yes. Most recommend 4.5-3.75" bs for TJ's with 12.5" tires. 4" seems to be the most common. That's what I have.

IMHO buy steel black rims and they come in any backspacing u like. There cheap heavy and if u beat them on some rocks it's no big whoop. I wheeled with a guy not too long ago that had 18" rims on 35s and he paid out the yin yang for them and was sooooo worried about damaging them that he didn't have that much fun. It's all in how hard u plan on wheeling. Stick with 15" fwiw.

Black is the best way to go, you should look at the American Racing Chamber Wheels, they are teflon and very easy to clean after mudding. Good luck!

Ahhh! Which reminds me, the local offroad place said stay with 15's and get c rated tired because the side walls flex on of road better. Does that really matter if I do hardly and rock climbing. Or should I go with a stronger rating to get longer life?

C rated tires will ride smoother, and be less expensive. Can't say about the life of the tire, cause I just don't know....

black steel wheels with a steel ring for the lip. My previous set without the welded on ring would bend at the lip easily when rock crawling. They didn't last super long time. These with the ring have lasted me on many many trails with no sign of damage (warp/bending/dents) other than scratches. I think I'll repaint them this weekend. they look ugly scratched up.

For me a combination of black/silver looks better. But is a matter of personal choice...

Are your wheels 17" or 15"? I'm curious to see what 33" tires look like on a 17" wheel because I'm wanting to go to 33" tires once my 35" wear out but I don't want to change wheels.
