When getting new gears

I wanna get 4.56 gears for my 33" tires. Now I have a limited amount of mechanical experience. I can change oil..plugs...filters..stuff like that. Never tried anything like this. Is this something that everyone would recommend going to a professional to have done?

Yes have a shop install the gears that does it alot. Figure 1000-1500 total for parts and install depending on your location.

YES, because if you screw it up, kiss your new gear set goodbye. Thats alot of money spent to learn the "hard way" if you ask me.

Did mine myself. It does require a few special tools. The internet is full of step by step how to's on everything. It does get done a lot faster and come with a warranty if a shop does it, but nothing beats satisfaction that you did it youself. They are intimidating but not at all undoable.
